Congressmen Stage Modesto, CA Immigration Listening Session 4/2/13

Raymond Herrera addressed Judiciary Immigration Subcommittee Chair Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) SC (202) 225-6030 and Modesto, CA Congressman Jeff Denham (R) (202) 225-4540 at a 4/2/13 Immigration Listening Session, Modesto, CA.  The event was highly orchestrated by PICO Campaign for Citizenship so that pro-amnesty voices were only allowed during the event.  Raymond Herrera spent one hour working with officials in order to speak. He was the final speaker after approximately 30 pro-amnesty speakers.

The Golden Gate Minutemen, LAIR and members of the Tea Party Patriots of Modesto joined together to stage an American Flag Rally in front of  St Stanislaus Catholic Church before the Immigration Listening Session event and attended the Immigration Listening Session as a group to oppose pending amnesty legislation.

Judiciary Immigration Subcommittee Chair Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) SC attended an Immigration Listening Session in Modesto, CA, along with Congressman Jeff Denham (R) Modesto, April 2, 2013.  At the Modesto Immigration Listening Session, 1,500 illegal aliens staged a pro-amnesty event at St Stanislaus Catholic Church.  On April 17, 2013, Raymond Herrera invited Congressman Trey Gowdy to attend an AMERICAN Listening Session in order to allow 1,500 Americans to express their stance on the topic of illegal aliens in the USA and the pending amnesty legislation.  Herrera presented the congressman with the proposal/invitation letter and subsequently left it with Congressmen Gowdy’s staff member.

In front of Senator Barbara Boxer’s Riverside, CA, office – in opposition to Senate Amnesty Bill S 744 – coalitions staged a No Amnesty Rally followed by a meeting with Senator Boxer’s staff member.

We formed a Defeat the Amnesty Bill Caucus and then met with Senator Boxer’s senior advisor, to lobby  Senator Boxer to support American workers – 23 million unemployed and underemployed – not illegal aliens. We presented a petition and information packet asking that Senator Boxer oppose the Senate Amnesty Bill and advocate for and support legislation for American workers/American citizens.

Background Information: Illegal aliens and their coalitions of supporters are targeting Congressman Gary Miller (R) Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  Because of redistricting, Congressman Gary Miller, a Republican, now presides over a Democratic district. Multiple unions - such as the SEIU –  and groups such as CHIRLA and Mi Familia Vota  have repeatedly picketed, protested and visited Congressman Gary Miller’s Rancho Cucamonga office.

On June 5, 2013, a group of  pro-law activists attended the Rancho Cucamonga City Council Meeting in order to inform the mayor, city council and Congressman Gary Miller’s Rancho Cucamonga constituents that as the pro-illegal alien groups target Congressman Miller, constituents and citizens who OPPOSE amnesty legislation are also calling, rallying and visiting Congressman Miller’s office - calling for him to  OPPOSE the pending House of Representatives amnesty bill.
