11/30/09 Senate Health Care Tyranny:  Constituents sought to meet with Senator Boxer’s Riverside office staff to deliver a signed  petition opposing the Senate Health Care Bill and a constituent’s letter.

The group met in front of the elevator before entering the reception area.  Upon viewing us,  the office receptionist vacated her post and entered the door that led to Senator Boxer’s office.  The office receptionist stated we could not film in the building.

The office receptionist claimed that Senator Boxer’s entire staff was out of the building until 4pm.  However, as we waited, she repeatedly entered a door that led to Senator Boxer’s office.

When she returned,  we asked if we could leave our petition and letter with her, leave it on the reception desk.  She said no.  She does not work for Senator Boxer.  We inquired as to how we could leave our petition and letter.

The office receptionist  responded by calling Security Guard Jerry.  About 10 minutes later, the Security Guard appeared in the reception doorway. When Security Guard Jerry arrived on scene we asked him if we could leave the petition and letter in his hands.  He said no.  Security Guard Jerry said we were trespassing and that we must vacate the building.  He escorted us to the elevator.
