Field Report: Obama Protest Las Vegas Del Sol High School
Amid a heavy law enforcement presence, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, Raymond Herrera, president and founder of We The People California’s Crusader organized a No Amnesty protest, in front of Del Sol High School, Las Vegas, where President Obama announced his immigration plan.
“Barack Obama has now sought to employ the treasures of government: the office of government the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives to expand amnesty for illegal aliens,” Herrera said. “Obama has abandoned his pubic charge to administer the law of the land – that is to say, the rule of law. He has in fact imposed his arbitrary will across this great nation. Democracy denied.”
According to Herrera, there was a lot of local support for the No Amnesty rally. Local television and print media interviewed Herrera and those protesting Obama’s announcement:

NO AMNESTY protesters staged across the street from the high school, and were the first group lining the street as Obama approached the scene in his motorcade
Herrera said, “Our No Amnesty rally was about 8 feet from President Obama’s armored vehicle. We are certain the president viewed our signs and our welcoming committee. We were there to send the message of the American people to the president – Stop Illegal Immigration – No Amnesty!”
“Overall, we had very good support from the local neighborhood,” Herrera said. “Even one of the Obama supporters when he walked by a Stop Illegal Immigration sign, pointed to the sign and he said, ‘I agree with you.’ “
Herrera is networking with organizations nationwide as well as members of congress to stop the push for GOP amnesty legislation.
