September 2, 2009, nationwide, moveon.org demonstrated in support of the Obama health care plan. A candlelight vigil in support of Obama health care was staged in front of Congressman Ken Calvert’s (R) office Riverside, CA office.
September 4, 2009, constituents and opponents of the Obama health care plan, which covers illegal aliens, rallied and visited Congressman Ken Calvert’s staff, to counteract the moveon.org demonstration. Calvert opposes the government health care plan.

In addition, Raymond Herrera, at left, advocated for slain Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas, killed in action on July 23, 2009, Campo, CA by illegal border crossers.

Constituents individually expressed their stance opposing the government health care plan to Congressman Calvert’s staff member. In addition to opposition to Obama health care, Herrera, at left called for securing the border, in the name of slain Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas.

PETITION TABLE – a petition addressed to Congressman Ken Calvert – expressing strong opposition to Obama health care – was available for signature as well as a Stop Obama Care flyer. A steady stream of constituents and passersby signed the petition. Below, a truck driver and constituent, parked his rig, and very enthusiastically signed the petition – which we hand-carried to Congressman Calvert’s office.
We offered a drive-up service – passersby could sign the petition from the convenience of their vehicle
