The University of California, Riverside – a taxpayer-funded state university – will stage the Alliance for Immigration Reform at the University of California, Riverside, National Leadership Summit For Immigration Reform on Saturday, March 16th from 8am – 5:30pm. SPEAKERS SENATOR/ACTIVISTS FROM MEXICO, keynote speakers The Mexican government enforces its strict immigration laws rigorously. However, this summit includes elected officials from Mexico pushing for U.S. amnesty legislation. Mexican Senator Ana Gabriela Guevara, who represents Sonora, Mexico, heads up Mexico’s Migratory Affairs Commission and will be at UCR promoting amnesty in the USA.
Other speakers who are activist leaders from Mexico include Juan Carlos Loera, a representative of Mexicans in the (US) Exterior and Jose Jaques Mediana, Movimiento Migrante Mesoamericano, Mexico.
