Translation:
When I left the ranch, all I took was my underwear,
I arrived in Tijuana, without money, I was selling chicken necks on street corners,
I could see the border, and I crossed the line for America,
No money, no papers, no passport,
I will sing for you how it went for me,
I crossed without a coyote, when I did my sandals were wearing out quickly, I ran really hard from “whitey” (border agents) and I made it,
As I was running my sandals went flying, along with my pants and shirts, I finally got away from them although I thought I wouldn’t,
Later, when I was with friends, as I let my guard down, we went on a drunken binge in Colorado,
We were on the road, to Colorado and to San Francsico,
And when we left the road, the (border agents),
Came up behind us, and I had bad luck in Colorado….
“The Star Spangle Banner” tune is played.
